          ~ Journal about my life ~ 

  I realized that i should write a journal so that in later world, people can know who I am and what i did for the world.

       Let’s start off with my basic information. 

       My “real” name is Giovanni Cabot though I am commonly known as John Cabot throughout the world. I was born in Genoa, Italy in 1450.  My surname ‘Cabot’ means “a coastal seaman” which was quite a common name given to sailors or navigators. My original nationality is Genovese but later on-wards I become a Venetian.  My religion is Roman Catholic. However, though I didn't have any siblings, I never felt lonely because my parents were always there with me. My childhood days in Genoa were memorable. 

  I forgot to mention this, but I am the son of a spice merchant, Guilo Cabot who I don’t think you may not know. I am glad that i have a father like him. He used to shout at me when I didn't follow his instructions but he also gave me kindness and so much love. One of my dreams were to become like my father, Guilo Cabot. My mother, Patricia Morgan Cabot had a charming face and personality. She took care of me and developed me to a better person. I am happy about both my parents.
