Journal #2
After spending 11 years in Genoa, I moved to Venice
with my parents, which was somehow the busiest place in Italy. My father as
usual continued his job trading. Since I didn't go to school, I helped my
father with the business. Though I had a tiny feeling about wanting to go to
school, I didn't care about it because of my dad. He learnt some things from
him that the school will never teach us too. I enjoyed learning about cartography, navigation, astronomy, mathematics and
about seamanship. It was the best
experience i have ever had!!I didn't regret about not going to school. The
place, Venice was an excellent place to learn new things too. I also gained some knowledge on languages too since my father was a
trading merchant and had many connections with the Europeans. My life was going
really great. I was very satisfied with it. However, more miracles happened to
me...
